Bristol’s main station, with a taxi rank out front and a pre-booked driver waiting at the entrance if you would rather not queue. Fixed fares to the airport, Bath, Cardiff and beyond.
Yes. The rank is at the front of the station on Station Approach, and it is uncovered. If you book ahead, your BristolRide driver meets you at the main entrance instead, and the fare is fixed before you travel: £19 to Bristol Airport for up to 4 passengers.
Fixed fares for the journeys we are asked for most from the station, each way, worked out from the real road distance. Any other address is priced the same way in the booking form.

Times are for clear roads; allow more at rush hour. More fares are on our Bristol Airport taxi prices page.
The taxi rank and the short drop-off and pick-up point are both on Station Approach, the road up to the main entrance. The rank is open to the weather, and the pick-up point only has room for about three cars, so it is no place to wait long.
A pre-booked car avoids both. Give us your train at booking and your driver is at the main entrance with a name sign when you come through the barriers. The station’s new eastern entrance opened in September 2026 onto the University of Bristol’s Enterprise Campus; if you leave that way, tell your driver and they will tell you where to meet.
Temple Meads is also where the Airport Flyer A1 bus starts its run to Bristol Airport, which suits one person with a small bag. With luggage, children or an early flight, a car to the terminal door is simpler.
